In video 1 of this course, I explore what copywriting is and what it isn't (*hint* it ISN'T writing like you learned in school!). This is how you know if it's a good fit for you. I was not originally a copywriter when I got started, or even a writer at all for that matter.
I was a lowly research associate. I didn’t have a medical background but health and wellness was my personal passion. I now write for some of the most respected doctors in the world.
And although I can travel wherever and whenever I want, the time where this meant the most to me wasn’t when I was working from a beautiful beach in Mexico - it was when I got to be with my sister who was having her first baby on her own. I packed up and moved home for about 2 months so I could be there for the birth of my nephew and beyond.
Being there for family and friends is what matters most to me. Being able to rearrange my schedule so I can be there when I’m needed is absolutely priceless.
You'll be surprised at how quickly you can learn to write copy, because it’s all about writing like you talk. But you may have noticed that already...
